Alfonso Díaz: The stadium is the evidence of our growth

Our CEO of Business shared more updates on our stadium redevelopment

CEO of Business Alfonso Díaz welcomed coaches Javier Aguirre, Toni Amor and Pol Lorente and club captains Abdón Prats and Antonio Raíllo to the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix for an update on our stadium redevelopment.

Regarding the latest advances, our CEO of Business highlighted that the planned construction deadlines are being met and that, in addition to this, phase three of the West Stand has already begun.

"The intention was to share with the coaching staff and the players, who, although they are already informed on a daily basis, we wanted them to step on and be on the pitch,” Alfonso Díaz told club media. “To see where we are, to explain to them where we are going in this growth plan of looking forward and a firm commitment to continue growing.

"At the end, I also conveyed to them that thanks to all of us who are part of the club we have managed to be where we are today. They have been a very important part with their effort, their work, their commitment and it has led us to think about reforming this stadium.

"The idea is that both the North Stand and the West Stand will be finished and can be opened to the public for the first league match of next season. It is our objective and we are on schedule for the moment, and let's see if we can achieve it.

"It will be a great step forward. And the goal of the West Stand, just like we did with the East Stand, is to bring the fans closer to the field. To get back to being close to the action and close to the football. The players will also feel the fans very close. It will be a great step for the club and for what we will experience at the stadium.”
