Abdón Prats, Antonio Sánchez and Vedat Muriqi analyse our 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano

The trio spoke to the media after we kept our survival hopes alive with victory

Abdón Prats, Antonio Sánchez and Vedat Muriqi were on post-match media duties after our 2-1 win against Rayo Vallecano. Pathé Ciss cancelled out Vedat Muriqi’s opener, before Abdón Prats scored in added time to keep our fight for survival alive. Find out what the trio had to say below:

Abdón Prats…

"I don't know if it's a release or if it’s satisfaction, but the fans deserve it. I play with my heart on my sleeve and I am very happy to continue making history at my club and what is my home.

“It’s very special, I was a child when I used to come here to see my idols and it is very special to be able to live these wonderful years at the club and help Mallorca grow.

"I have a lot of faith in this team, I appeal to the fans to come to Pamplona and I will talk to their bosses so that they do not have go to work on Monday. I remember my family, my girlfriend, my friends and these people that we are always suffering as the Mallorquinistas that we are."

Antonio Sánchez…

"It seems that we like to suffer. We have had a bad time, but in the end, it turned out well and we reach the last day depending on ourselves, which is what we wanted from the beginning.

“If we do our homework in the next game, we'll stay in LaLiga for another year. The fans have been pushing us in the most difficult moments today – it was incredible.”

Vedat Muriqi...

"It was the last game in front of our fans and they were incredible. We got three very important points. Now we depend on ourselves and we want to stay in LaLiga.

"Winning while suffering for me is better because you celebrate it in a sweeter way. Abdón's performance was incredible, it allowed us to celebrate today.”
