Salva Sevilla and Alejandro Pozo reflect upon beating RC Celta 5-1 and the fight for survival

The duo of goalscorers spoke to the press after we registered vital points against our relegation rivals at the Visit Mallorca Estadi

Salva Sevilla and Alejandro Pozo were in a jubilant mood as we recorded three points for the first time since competitive football returned to action and took a big step towards safety in our fight for survival. Find out what the pair had to say about the performance and where that leaves us.

On the game...

Salva Sevilla: "It was a match in which we had to score. You couldn't fail here. We were confident and we haven't failed. We've been doing things right, wanted to have a good game and get all three points. We must keep fighting and working.”

Alejandro Pozo: "The team needed all three points and we’ve known that facing a direct rival. As for the penalty, they’re actions within game. The referee saw it as a penalty and blew for it. The team has managed to overcome that, we scored the second goal and we’ve been very good. We had to win because it was against direct rival.”

On the fight for survival and scoring...

Salva Sevilla: "I don't usually score a lot of goals, so I’m very happy. It didn’t take any deflections and it went well. We feel the love of our fans even if they’re not in the stadium. They never let us down and we're going to fight until the end. We believe in what we do and we’ll try to keep going forward."

Alejandro Pozo: "To get your first goal in the league and do it with a win is great. I hope a lot more [like that] will come. Tomorrow we'll start thinking about Atletico and we're going to go there and try to get the three points.”
